Frequently Asked Questions

Here at SpecTronics UK, we’re always happy to answer your questions – whether they’re about computer issues, data recovery, responsive website design, setting up a phone system or any aspect of IT management or support.

On this page, we’ve pulled together the answers to some of the more commonly asked questions from our new clients, but we’d also be happy to discuss your particular problem over the phone or email. You can call us on 020 7183 6076 or contact us online.

SpecTronics UK is based in Wimbledon, South West London. We can provide onsite IT support across London and in the surrounding areas. We can also provide online or phone support to any UK home or business.
At SpecTronics UK, we understand how IT issues can bring your business to a halt, or seriously interfere with getting things done at home. As such, we’ve always got members of our London IT support team on standby for important issues. When you call us about a new job, we can usually get started on the same day.
We offer very competitive rates to both business clients and home users. For most jobs we charge a flat rate of £60-90 per hour. For onsite work, there is a one hour minimum fee, but for remote support we charge in fifteen minute increments. We do not have an additional call out charge.

For some services, such as responsive website design, we can agree a fixed price contract depending on your individual requirements.

No, you don’t need a contract. We’re happy to help out with a one-off issue, or provide support as and when you need it. However, there may be savings involved in taking on a regular IT support contract. This can be discussed with your Company Contact – your personal account manager at SpecTronics UK.

Yes we do. In fact, we work with a lot of small businesses, individual entrepreneurs and start-ups, providing them with cost-effective IT solutions that meet their current needs and budgets, but also allow them to start as they mean to continue with scalability in mind.
Yes we do – in fact we specialise in it. Cloud computing is using the internet to store, manage and process your data, rather than a local server. As Google Apps Authorised Resellers and Microsoft Cloud Partners, we can set up email, calendar and document management systems that you can access wherever you are.
